Deco-Den Phone Case

I already talked about deco-dening. In these photos I deco-dened cellphone case. the first cellphone case, I messed up and put to much silicone on and it turned out way to heavy. I suggest just enough to cover and look nice.

Deco-Den Mirror

I deco-dened this hand mirror. I love it and think it is really cute the only bad thing is if you have a lot in your purse it will get dirty but just a little cleaning and it will be back to normal.

Deco-Den pencil Box

this is a simple pencil box that my mom got on the after school sell and she wanted me to decorate it for her. it turned out good but just the lid a little heavy but it was not a problem.
 

Deco-Den Jewelry Box


 
Things you will need:
  • jewelry box (I bought this one from Wal-Mart.)
  • paint
  • paint brush
  • hot glue gun
  • colored hot glue sticks
  • cabochons
  • Alex Dap silicon in a squeeze tube
  • piping tip (the star tip)
  • Duct Tape
 
Steps:
  1. Paint box any color you want.
  2. let it dry.
  3. use colored hot glue stick and hot glue gun to make a drizzle effect on the edge of the box.
  4. pick out the design.
  5. cut end of the Alex Dap.
  6. tape on the star tip to the end.
  7. make star dolips till box is coverd.
  8. place on the cabochons before the silicon drys
  9. let dry
  10. Done!

 
Tip:
  • if you do not want to use the squeeze tube you can buy a caulking gun and the Alex Dap in the caulking tube and squeeze it in to a pastry bag that has a tar tip taped to it.

Magnets!

Things you will need:
  • Cabochons or clay pieces or what ever you want to use.
  • scissors
  • magnet tape
Might need:
  • E6000 (or any good craft glue)
Steps:
  1. decide design
  2. cut magnet tape so it is the right size.
  3. pull off paper from back of magnet.
  4. stick magnet on your item.
  5. make sure it stuck.
  6. stick magnet on fridge.
  7. if it doesn't stick use the E6000 to glue the magnet to the item.
  8. after it dries, stick it to the fridge.
  9. done!

Cabochon hair clip

things you will need:
  • Hair Clips
  • Any Cabochons you want.
    • or any decorative things
Steps:
  1. decide on a design.
  2. glue together.
  3. can even stack
    • like I did in the picture.
  4. let dry.
  5. wear!

Crayon Melt

things you will need:
  • Hair dryer or heat gun
  • canvas
  • crayons
  • hot glue gun
  • hot glue sticks

optional:
  • sharpie
  • paper
  • glue stick
  • scissors

Steps:
  1. pick length of crayons for the design you pick
    • for mine I broke the crayons in half, I had a small canvas.
  2. if doing one like  mine cut out  a heart and use a glue stick to glue down.
  3. glue down the crayons
  4. protect your surroundings or go outside this could get messy.
  5. use your hair dryer or heat gun to melt the crayons.
    • heat gun works faster
  6. keep or remove the heart.
  7. can use sharpie to add on a design.

Decoden Phone case Bling

things you will need:
  • cell phone case
  • cabochons (decorations)
  • e-6000 (craft glue)
steps:
  1. place the cabochons on the phone case where you want them.
  2. glue them down
  3. let dry
  4. done!!!

Sharpie Cup

decorated ceramic cup

things you will need:
  • a ceramic cup
  • sharpies

steps:
  1. pre-heat oven to 425.
  2. decorate cup with sharpie any design.
  3. put in oven and bake it for 30 minutes
  4. let cool
  5. use, wash, and reuse the cup.
tips:
  • while hot the sharpie comes off easily, so let cool so color will soak in.
  • can buy sharpies and cup from dollar tree.
  • can use white or color. (like I did.)
  • sharpie wont come off after cooked.
  • can wash and put in dish washer and wont come off.
  • lastly, have fun!!!

Flower Hair Clips


making flower hair clips.

this is a fun and easy DIY tutorial.

to make these you will need...
  • polymer clay
  • butter knife
  • super glue
  • mold ~ optional (can make what ever you want)
  • hair clips
pre heat oven to the polymer clay instructions. squish clay to get soft. stick clay in mold little by little in any color pattern you want till full. use the back of the butter knife to scrape off extra and use to flatten into mold. next either pop out of mold to bake or bake in mold. (which ever you prefer. I could not wait to see how it would work, so I popped them out to cook.) then wait till cool and super glue to a hair clip. then wear and enjoy!!! :)

I am Melanie Sanchez and kawaii D.I.Ys is my blog. This blog is to help teenage girls find fun and easy do it yourself projects. I have always been crafty and in school I took a lot of art classes. Now in college I spend my free time doing D.I.Ys and planning my next projects. the D.I.Y.s are perfect for teen girls. I do projects with my sister in law.
